Size and Costs

The building structure often limits the traditional LED fixed installation. Since the consideration of LED installation is after the building construction, it is difficult to perfectly match the size of the building structure in the subsequent design and installation. Therefore, customizations are necessary for many projects, which significantly reduces installation flexibility and increases installation and maintenance costs.

LED displays are considered as an essential factor in the design of many new buildings, but the screens still need to accommodate the building wall. Many LED manufacturers have developed screens of different sizes to meet the needs of such projects.

The size of outdoor panels is often large. Common sizes include: 1280960 mm, 640960mm, 960960mm, 12001200mm, etc. The indoor panels for fixed installation are smaller: 600 337.5mm, 610343mm, and 604.8 × 340.2mm in a 16:9 ratio, or 500*500mm in a 1:1 structure.


Product Precision

Whether indoors or outdoors, the LED display is developing for higher definition and smaller pixel pitches. Outdoor fixed installation projects were still dominated by P20 or above products five years ago, but P5-P8 products are now common. Some indoor projects have widely used products below P2.5. The trend also puts forward higher requirements for the accuracy of LED displays.
