The PT-REQ15 is Panasonic's first 1-Chip DLP 4K projector with a brightness of 15,000 lumens.

Panasonic Connect Europe has announced two new 1-Chip DLP™ laser projectors designed to expand opportunities for bringing new immersive applications to the location-based entertainment industry.

The PT-REQ15 is Panasonic's first 1-Chip DLP 4K projector offering 15,000 lumens of brightness, while its counterpart, the PT-REZ15, provides 15,000 lumens with WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution. Their compact design and high-quality visuals will enable integrators to reduce costly installation work and bring immersive experiences to new locations. These two new models will be available starting in the second quarter of 2024.

Spectacular Large-Scale Images

The REQ15 uses Quad Pixel Drive, Panasonic's innovative 2-axis pixel shift technology, to deliver authentic 4K images with depth, smoothness, and detail. It enables blur-free projection of 2K/240 Hz content on multiple screens with blending and latency of 6 ms or less.

The technology can also sync with Panasonic's real-time tracking projection mapping system, the ET-SWR10, to merge digital content and analog motion within XR attractions or stage performances. The Rich Colour Enhancer, a function that expands the red channel's output, offers the ability to achieve more vibrant and accurate red tones. The advanced dynamic contrast breathes new life into every frame, with its recent scene analysis circuit better recognizing light and dark areas of the image for captivating visual impact.

Seamless blending is also crucial in 360° immersive spaces, especially when projecting on curved screens. Black level adjustments provide point-based edge adjustment for arbitrary screen shapes, enabling precise black level settings. Thanks to the ability to unlink black level adjustment from geometric, this setting can be applied to all blending, including image overlays outside the display area, to achieve seamless multi-screen projection.Panasonic projector 2 HI

Effortless Workflow and Enhanced Features

An Intel® SDM-ready slot accepts various optional function cards from Panasonic or third parties. With the right card, users can tailor, scale, and expand connectivity to fit the application interface or AVoIP standard. High-contrast optics with motorized central and peripheral focus make adjustments easy with the remote control.

On-site workflow is streamlined with NFC functionality that allows projectors to be prepared or activated without turning them on using a smartphone. Pre-activated Geo Pro upgrade kits expand functionality and automate Edge-blending via camera.

Exceptional Reliability with Maintenance-Free Operation

To prevent disruptions affecting the user experience and reduce operating costs, both products feature an optical engine and laser light source module that meet the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529) standard, eliminating the need for an air filter and allowing for up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation.

The sophisticated liquid cooling system enables continuous operation in dusty environments. The Multi-Laser Drive Engine has a failover circuit that limits brightness loss in the unlikely event of a single diode failure, while a backup function switches to an emergency signal without screen clearing if the primary signal is interrupted.
